Our adventure to Niagara Falls And Milwaukee 6-23-11

We meet Carolyn and mark in front of the Clydesdale barn at 7 am. We will meet the Alvey's at the midway on the turnpike towards Tulsa at 8. Chris and Diana headed out last night to get to Cuba Missouri so they could have some stuff done to the spider. Heat isn't as bad as it has been and really is a pretty nice ride. We get into Missouri and the drivers are really terrible. They just don't have a clue how to pass on the highway. A few truck drivers are driving a bit weird but I guess that is something we just have to deal with. We make a stop for lunch at a Mexican food place in Springfield. It was really decorated nice and the food was OK. I have been in contact with Diana and she says the bike is ready and we are about an hour away, so the plan is working. We pull into the dealership at 3:20 pm. Everyone is ready to get back on the road and get through St Louis. As we start hitting some of the backup in traffic, we have to pull over cause the clutch isn't disengaging again and there is no way we can get through 5 pm traffic.

Chuck adjust the clutch and we take off again. Tonight we will stay in Greenville,

Illinois. As we stop for gas we decide to grab subway to eat, and find us a room for the night. Super 8 only had smoking rooms, so Carolyn and Mark go scout another motel out. Nice little older motel with the rooms you drive right up to. Nicest little old lady checked us in. Well, day one is coming to a close, and other than the ongoing clutch problem, I think it went pretty well. Let day two begin. :)
