Rains are coming from Hurricane Hilary

The tent at Funks didn't fare very well.

I have all my ducks in a row.

Hurricane Hilary wasn't very nice to Yuma saguaros.

August 2022

Lunch with two of my favorite guys!

If you watch "For All Mankind" you understand!

Officially  a Pom Girl!

New mural in Yukon!

There is a little story behind the next two pictures.  The first one is looking out into the courtyard of our Yuma Casita with our Nest Doorbell camera.  The gate has a little yellow piece of wood that I cut and painted to accent the middle area of the sun.  It was missing.  I failed to calk it before we left this last season.  When you get a close up of the area you can see the yellow piece laying on the ground.  Our great friends Wendy and Michele went to the house and found it and put it in a safe place.  I will make the repairs to the little thing when we get back.  Ideally I would love a piece of stained glass in that area.  It's the little things sometimes that makes me happy....this just happens to be one of them.
The sun is missing something!

Yellow sun is here in earlier pictures

Rain and high winds have done a number on the Madagascar Palm.  Once again Michele and Wendy have come to our rescue and cut the top off....it is supposed to sprout a new top from that area.  Time will tell.

Snow The Goldwing is for sale!!!!

Rain!!!!

The volumes of my blog that I have had printed in the past years.

School is upon us and we are having a last hooray! Nothing like starting your day with these two and a drink from Starbucks!

Bad picture, but Snow the Goldwing is on that flatbed truck on her way to Alabama!

Official First Day of School! 9th and 6th grade.

Updated picture of the house in Yuma that is being built across the street from us.

This girl right here is having a back leg issue.  We have got to get her to stop chasing everything and relax.  She is a typical cattle dog and doesn't realize she is in pain and needs to rest.

Nothing like a drink of fresh rainwater in the ditch....YES, we got some much needed rain.

Stucco is on the house.

New comical game pieces for our FastTrack game

For a dog that hates a bath, she sure loves water!

Son is knee deep in football decals....tis the season!  Pro Line Designs is doing a great job!

August is in the books as I type.  Still been very hot here in Oklahoma but so thankful for the rain we have finally received.  Everything is turning green once again. Dog days of Summer are sticking around for a while longer.

Stagnated Mentally-August 2020

How does one write about a month that has come and gone.

Once again it has been a pretty uneventful month...don't get me wrong, I am thankful for that.

With everything that is going on in the world, I am thankful to be uneventful!

We purchased our first Blackstone griddle and Chuck has gotten it seasoned.

Our plans are to put in the motorhome and carry it with us....we ended up getting the 22" one and so far so good...seem to be really nice and easy to work with.

Maybe I can get Chuck interested in cooking up some good food on it!

I finally finished a 1000 piece puzzle I had been working on for a month.

I really didn't take it too seriously but then one day I just wanted to get it finished and put away!

Around the neighborhood we have had construction of roads going on.

So glad to see they FINALLY re-paved 11th Street....too bad they didn't do the whole thing and stop short of making the road drivable again.

I've been going down to Norman and seeing the kids since mom has gone back to work and they haven't started their school year yet. One funny thing that cracked me up was on one of our recent outings we decided to stop at Sonic for drinks.

I was driving so Cooper took care of Cash and I's order via the app on the phone.

When it came to size, she asked me what size, and I told her we all needed a Rt. 44.  You should have seen her face.  She says that they never get one that large....I told her they were with me today and we were going big! It was worthy of pics to gloat to mom and dad!

Cooper had a cactus garden in her room and all but one of the cactus had died. I took it home and repotted the little guy.  Planning on taking it to Arizona when we make our trip back.

Our little half bath was due for some updating, so the kids went with me to Hobby Lobby and we picked out a few new things to give the room a new look.

Chuck and I actually got on the Harley and rode to Norman and on to Lake Thunderbird. It was just something to do and get some wind therapy along the way.  This ride was very overdue!

We met up with Doreen and Alan and had lunch at Hidalgo's in Moore. I fell in love with this restaurant as soon as we walked in.  They have a huge mural of Frida on the wall.  The decor was so fresh and nice looking.  Besides the decor the food was quite good as well.  Was good to catch up with Doreen and Alan.  Doreen had two lemon trees and a pineapple plant for me.  Guess you know where I am taking them!

National Dog Day was August 26th. We took Bronco for a ride to Ft. Cobb Lake.  Lunch was at Sonic in Anadarko, OK.....guess who got some tater tots.  She seemed to enjoy her outing and was a little on the tired side by the time we got home.  She had a lot of guarding and stuff to do along the way.

Our little turtle that has lived in our yard for a few years now has been busy.

He has been making a daily walk from one end of the yard to the other.  He is going back home in the evening after his day of work I guess!

We end the month with cooler weather and lots of rain. We had been told by the weather people that it was coming, and it sure did. We ended up with over 5" of rain in one day! What a way to end our "uneventful" month!

August is behind us and now on to September!
